Government Accountability and Transparency

Legislators should be chosen by voters, rather than choosing which voters are in their district. We need a fresh eye in Raleigh to make sure the NC government is transparent. I’ll focus on sound policy and governance that benefits working families—not partisan politics that benefit a few.

What are they hiding in Raleigh?

  • Why should emails of our elected representatives be hidden from the public?
  • What are we paying legislators for if they regularly fail to give us an annual budget?
  • Extreme gerrymandering means most of our state officials can’t be voted out of office, even if we don’t like their policies.

Why It Matters

Many have lost their faith in some of our basic institutions—including our legislature. It’s time to hold our state representatives accountable and make them earn their salaries.
