An Accomplished Leader & A Champion for the People
Mark Burrows has promoted economic and community development in Transylvania County and Western North Carolina for over 30 years. His work in local government has focused on economic, planning, and community development initiatives involving both public and private sectors.
Now, Mark is running for NC House of Representatives District 119 to represent Jackson, Swain and Transylvania counties so that he can keep giving back to his community, the same as he’s done across his entire career. Burrows lives in Brevard with his wife Betsy Burrows, a professor at Brevard College. They have two grown children. He is an avid trail runner and cyclist.
Mark Burrows Will Stand For What Matters
Mark Burrows is running to create stronger economic development opportunities for working families, improvements for the health and well-being of women and families, better public schools, and accountability and transparency of state government.
Mark has spent the last three decades working to develop Western NC’s economy and led efforts that have brought in over $5 million in public and private grants incentives to Transylvania County to help small businesses and working families. In the legislature, he’ll continue to deliver for our community.
